Opening on the 21st of April 2018, just in time for Fashion Revolution Week, Fashioned from Nature is the first UK exhibition to explore the complex relationship between fashion and nature from 1600 to the present day. Tracing 400 years, the exhibition explores the true cost of fashion and showcases pioneer designers and innovators harnessing fashion’s creativity to make a vibrant but more responsible system that respects, protects and celebrates the natural world. Also on display are a Ferragamo piece made from ‘Orange Fiber’ derived from waste from the Italian citrus industry, Calvin Klein's monochrome Met Gala look for Emma Watson, made from recycled plastic bottles; designs made of synthetic spider silk from Bolt Threads x Stella McCartney, and a 1997 Jean Paul Gaultier leopard print gown.
